My daughter Elspeth (12) has been a pupil of Chloë’s for just under a year. We were looking for a new singing teacher when Elspeth left her primary school, where she had lessons previously; Chloë was highly recommended to us by several family friends and we have been incredibly impressed by how Elspeth has progressed over this short period of time. Chloë is an upbeat, engaging individual who has a lovely positive manner with her pupils (and parents!). She was able to tweak Elspeth’s repertoire for grade 5 by involving her in song choices; this reignited her enthusiasm... which had waned slightly after a busy year 6. Chloë set regular lesson work over this period but has been understanding of Elspeth’s other commitments (both musical and sporting) - she has a knack of knowing when to push her forward, and when to relax a little. Chloë manages this alongside her own personal singing commitments - which are pressured - and for which I afford her due respect! As a result of Chloë’s enthusiasm and reassurance, Elspeth took her grade 5 exam earlier this year and achieved a distinction. This from a child who was considering stopping singing 6 months earlier. She is now working towards her musical theory exam, once again credit to Chloë for engaging her with this as Elspeth has always found theory rather tiresome! I might add, we are managing this aspect of her teaching via Zoom - which has worked really well. I have no hesitation in recommending Chloë as a music teacher, on the basis of both her professional and interpersonal skills.

I have known Chloe Pardoe for three years when she became my daughter’s singing teacher. My daughter, Evie, said after her first lesson with Chloe that she had learnt so much in just one lesson. Chloe is excellent at guiding her students, giving them confidence and letting the children enjoy singing. Evie said she has learnt so many singing techniques from Chloe and she is excellent at teaching music theory (to an initially reluctant pupil!). I’ve been so impressed with Chloe that my youngest son also now has weekly lessons. He has improved massively and we are thrilled with how he and Chloë work together. I recommend Chloe to other parents asking for details of singing teachers.

Chloë is a wonderful teacher who works on both vocal technique and performance skills. With a detailed understanding of the voice, she helped me to secure a solid foundation for singing and progress massively over the last year. Thanks to Chloë, I was offered a place at one of the top performing arts colleges for Further Study. She is always on hand to give advice and suggest relevant helpful material and opportunities. Chloë goes above and beyond for her students. Her lessons are the perfect balance of relaxed and disciplined. I can not recommend Chloë enough!
