Chloë Pardoe is a mezzo-soprano based in Buckinghamshire, known for her versatility across opera, concert, and recital work. She trained at the Wales International Academy of Voice under the distinguished tenor Dennis O’Neill, with support from the Dennis O’Neill Foundation, and continues her vocal development with John Evans.
Chloë began her professional journey as a Young Artist with Iford Arts (now If Opera), where she established herself as a promising operatic performer. Since then, she has worked with several UK-based companies including Opera Holland Park, Longborough Festival Opera, Opera Anywhere, Cardiff Opera, and Random Opera Company.
Recent stage roles include 2nd Woman in Mozart’s The Magic Flute for Opera Anywhere's UK tour, and chorus work for Longborough Festival Opera. With Opera Holland Park, she performed the roles of 3rd Woman in Delius's Margot la Rouge and Woodpecker in Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she featured in Random Opera Company’s virtual production of Puccini’s Suor Angelica as La Suora Infermiera.
Her operatic repertoire spans a wide range of styles and periods, with previous roles including Ida in J. Strauss’s Die Fledermaus (Iford Arts), Sesto in Handel’s Giulio Cesare (Cardiff Opera), and La Ciesca in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi for a private commission. Further credits include L’Enfant in Ravel’s L’Enfant et les Sortilèges (Royal Birmingham Conservatoire), Hänsel in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel (Leamington Sinfonia), and Dido in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas (Leamington Choral Society).
As a recitalist and concert soloist, Chloë has performed widely across the UK. She has appeared as a Leeds Lieder Young Artist and a Song Easel Young Artist. Her concert highlights include covering Diana Moore in Elgar’s Sea Pictures at Snape Maltings, and solo performances in Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with Ludlow Orchestra, Vivaldi’s Gloria and Saint-Saëns’ Oratorio de Noël with Oxford Harmonic at the Sheldonian Theatre, as well as Haydn’s Paukenmesse and Beethoven’s Mass in C with Stratford Upon Avon Choral Society.
Chloë is also actively involved in education and outreach having worked with Welsh National Opera and Opera Holland Park's Inspire programme. One of Chloë's passions is helping to broaden access to opera and engage new audiences through community and schools-based initiatives.
